There is much debate over the distinct natures of the tribulation and God's wrath. Therefore, to avoid private interpretation of the prophecy of these two events, one must read them literally. 2 Peter 1:20 declares that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. The time of the tribulation and the time of God's wrath are not only biblically described as two separate periods of time, but are also described chronologically. The tribulation is described to be the period of time prior to the return of Jesus. This is clearly explained in Mt 24:1-29, which describes a period that begins with great Christian suffering, but ends with the comfort of Jesus Christ's return to gather his people from the earth. The time of God's wrath is the period described to be reserved for the non-Christians who are to be left behind. 1 Thes 5:9 states that God has not appointed Christians to suffer his wrath. But, John 16:35 does say that in the world Christians will have to have great tribulation, but not to worry for Jesus has overcome the world! The Bible not only speaks of these two periods of time, but also reveals the order of their events. One place to start is Rev 6:17 that clearly states when God's wrath is to be released: at the time of the seventh seal. The seals referred to in Revelation are opened or broken, releasing prophesied events, in chronological order. The seventh angel is the final seal, beginning of course with the first. There are seven seals of which the first four are horses. The first seal, Rev 6:2, speaks of a white horse. Rev 6:4 speaks of a red horse that is to take peace from the earth. Rev 6:5 is the third seal, when a black horse is released. This horse represents measuring what is to be spared harm. Rev 6:8, seal four, clarifies what one is to be spared from: Death, Hell and hunger, to name a few. This is most likely when Rev 12 speaks of some Christians who will survive, hidden abroad, in the wilderness. The length of time here is referred to in days, but is the same length of time as the 42 months referred to in Rev 13:5-7 & 15-18, when Christians world wide, won't be able to buy or sell and will also be hunted to be killed. The fifth seal, Rev 6:9-11, reflects on a time when Christian martyrs who also suffered death for their faith in Jesus are told to wait until the reoccurring martyrdom is complete. Relief seems to come with the sixth seal, when Rev 6:12-14 reveals a time just as Jesus described his return to earth would be. When he spoke in Mt 24:29-30, Jesus described that immediately after the tribulation is over; the sun will be darkened; the moon will not give off light; the stars will fall and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then is how and when Jesus is to appear, to gather and remove all of his people from the earth. Rev 6:12-14 also describes this. Just to note, there is a biblical gap between the opening of sixth seal and that of the seventh. Rev 6:12 opens the sixth and Rev 8:1 opens the seventh. This biblical gap begins with Rev 6:15, mocking those left behind, cowering for fear of the dreaded seventh seal. The entire next chapter reveals a divine command to cease activity toward the seventh seal, until all God's servants are sealed by him and welcomed. For according to Ga 3:28, both Jews and gentiles are all the same in Christ. Rev 14:9-11 & Rev 20:4,5 make it clear that to be welcomed as a servant of God, Jew or gentile, one will have to have refused 666. According to scripture, with God's people removed from earth, God is now free to release his wrath on those left behind. The seventh seal releases seven angels for the purpose of releasing God's wrath. These seven angels are described not once, but twice in the book of Revelation. Rev 8:2 &16:2 releases the first angel which destroys a third of the earth and causes sores to appear on those left behind, those who took the mark of the beast. Rev 8:8-9 & 16:3 releases a second angel that hurls a huge fire ball into the sea and pollutes a third part of it. Because of this, a third of all sea life, including ships will be destroyed. Rev 8:10-11 & 16:4 releases the third angel which causes a burning star to fall, polluting a third of all fresh water. Rev 9:12 & 16:8-9, releases the fourth angel which causes the sun to be able to scorch people with fire and causes a darkness over the earth, so that a third of all natural light is blackened. Rev 9:1-11 & 16:10, releases the fifth angel which causes the seat of the beast to suffer. There will probably be total chaos which will probably require population, panic control. The curse of the fifth seal locusts are described to be designed for just that purpose. When described, these locusts, as they are called, seem a lot like helicopters. Rev 9:1 restricts theses locust to not kill, but to hurt only people, for five months. The Bible re-clarifies that these are Godless people. The locusts are described to be coated in metal, like a helicopter. They are to have a crown with extensions resembling a woman's hair. When a chopper or helicopter is activated, the spinning of the top propellers resembles a crown with long hair. Also, these locusts are to have faces of men, which is what the face of a manned chopper looks like. They are to have teeth like lions, which resembles the opening of a chopper, wide and possibly jagged. Just like a chopper sounds, these locusts are to sound like many horses racing toward battle. Finally, and quite revealing, these locust are to have tails shaped like scorpions. Helicopters are commonly shaped this way.
Rev 9:13-14 & 16:12, describes the sixth angel as drying up the Euphrates River to prepare passage for a terrible battle. It also releases four angels that are told to kill a third of what is left of mankind. Rev 9:16-19 describes this battle to continue until the killing of the third is complete. Also, verses 20 & 21 further clarify that any survivors at that point, are again, not God's people. Finally, Rev 10:7, mentions the seventh angel of the seventh seal. It declares that in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, the mystery of God should be finished. At this point, nothing more is mentioned about the seventh angel until Rev 16:16. This is when there is a gathering in a place called Armageddon. This seventh angel now causes thunder and lightning, greater than ever before. The city called Babylon is destroyed and split into three parts. All islands, including mountains are no more and hail falls from heaven. As for those people standing who fought against God's people, their flesh is to consume away while they stand upon their feet and their tongue shall consume away in their mouths. Zec 14:12
